Bryanna Hill receives the 2017-18 Joseph S. Sperrazza Scholarship
Bryanna Hill is the 2017-18 recipient of the Joseph Sperrazza scholarship. Bryanna is a senior majoring in Elementary Education with a concentration in spanish. She has a cumulative GPA of 3.71 and was chosen to represent the student body enrolled in the Elementary Education department in the Buffalo State College's Professional Development Schools Consortium.
Throughout the years, Bryanna has been involved on and off-campus. On campus, she has participated in two IPDS study away programs, the Dominican Republic and Chile. She currently serves as the International Professional Development Schools (IPDS) Ambassador where she recruits students to study abroad. She is also a member of the Elementary Education club and Club HoLA (Hour of Latino Awareness). Off campus, Bryanna works at an after school program in Lackawanna, NY, and hosts Spanish classes at different schools in WNY through a program called Culture Kids. In the future, Bryanna hopes to work with students who are learning English as their second language because of her similar experiences being in new environments dealing with language barriers. Bryanna is a great asset to our community and we commend her for her continuous hard work and efforts at bringing our community together.
