Wow! I've been hoping for a different approach for my 10yo daughter who hates math and struggles thru most of the typical programs. She's computer literate so the tie in to binary is going to be helpful, as is the way it seems to encourage mental math over rote memorization of "facts".

Learned about this on FreelyEducate.com

Thanks!!

I was in elementary school in NH in the 1980's and was taught math using CSMP. . . I went on to major in mathematics and now teach math to homeschooled students. I have been drawing on my memory of many of the approaches and it just occurred to me to look for CSMP resources online and I found your site. Thanks for putting this together!

Taught the program in the early 80's.

After 23 years as a principal I've decided to team teach a 4th grade math class. I went searching for my favorite materials and found this site.
